Re: New youtube videos
Looks like a new youtube video of the Prevue Channel was posted. It is the Latino version... but it is pretty much the same beast. Oct. 27, 1995. It could be when they were just beginning to switch over to the "eye" logo (I am wondering if this version had that logo first, or if this was a transition period where one similar to the one in this video was used until the 1996 logo)

Very interesting! This is obviously the Amiga guide, but it seems to be LaserDisc-powered, judging by the way the clips freeze for a second at the end. But the machine is also apparently getting live satellite data from somewhere judging by our good friend "blinky".

It could be, Prevue Networks was beginning to have a new look, which would be introduced later in April, 1996. It's good to see what the channel look like in Latin America.20CenturyFan wrote:Looks like a new youtube video of the Prevue Channel was posted. Also, it has local ad music in between previews that has a Latin style, these tracks might be from "Killer Tracks". Too bad, this channel didn't have their own programs like in the U.S. such as "Prevue Tonight", "FamilyVue", "ReelTalk".etcAriX wrote:Very interesting! Here's another Prevue Channel clip from 6/24/93:

Also, has "Prevue Tonight" included. Which at the end, the announcer doesn't mentioned "Join us again in 30 minutes" since it ends after 10:30pm.

Re: New youtube videos
Nice discovery! I've always wondered when exactly the transition from Prevue Guide to the Prevue Channel occurred. I assume the re-launch occurred around June 1, 1993 or possibly May 30th of that year (since it was on a Sunday in 1993).

Re: New youtube videos
Sorry to bump, but I've found a couple of new Prevue Channel/Sneak Prevue clips from 1997. It also features some previously unheard Prevue Channel music. All of these clips came from a former MediaOne system in Detroit.

Re: New youtube videos
Sorry for replying to a message posted one year ago. Note that this video has lots of text ads that are actually announcements signaling all the movies that were about to be censored and replaced by a less risqué material. Cable TV censorship in Chile was always brutal, specially on HBO, Cinemax and I-Sat (Argentine movie channel now owned by Turner, it formally used to broadcast erotica at midnight under the previous management) which were butchered. Unfortunately, there's only a very brief clip of the Argentine Prevue on YT, and it seems a bit deceiving: the Volver channel (a retro channel with vintage Argentine shows and movies) has its EPG saying simply "Películas argentinas": http://youtu.be/XYpB-_QdBZA?t=20s20CenturyFan wrote:Looks like a new youtube video of the Prevue Channel was posted. Re: New youtube videos
here's a clip of the last TV Guide in 2010. Unfortunately it lacks the other usual Cable stations because of the analog shut off and switched to all Digital Cable.
