SPECIAL UPDATE FROM MATTHEW
Posted: Tue Dec 10, 2013 8:24 am
As you know for the past few days since I'm actively back online, I saw some spambots signing up for this service. In exchange of this, some spambots posted some of it which is not totally part of the forum.
Days later, AriX would ban some spambots and deleted posts or topics created by spambots. In one example, Karen (whom is a spambot), posted one of the words from one of my created topics (or a.k.a. Instructional manual) here on this link. The spambot was banned from the forum, however the post can be seen here on this link.
Today (November 10, 2013) and yesterday (November 9, 2013), I saw some spambots creating topics. In one example, a spambot (I don't know what the username is) created new topics, included the Golden State Warriors as a topic. And now today, I saw one spambot creating a topic making porn by directing to a link that might be cause viruses in the computer, if clicked.
Based on forum rules, pornographic or sexual material, hijacking threads and spamming are not allowed. Spambots will be banned directly.
In selected forum websites, such like this, easier Q&A's on the signup form might cause spambots. Adding harder questions can reduce the usage of spambots like this.
I'm trying to ask AriX to now make the FAQ topic sticky so that users can read the FAQ first before posting anything, and changing the Q&A in the signup form to be more harder to reduce the spambot usage in this forum.
And one more thing, if your are a human do not post ANYTHING THAT ILLEGALIZES THE RULEs OF THE FORUM. If you are a spambot, go home and eat chocolates.
-Matthew
P.S. If you are willing to ask me, ask yourself first, are you a HUMAN or a SPAMBOT?
