Amiga Floppy Drive Replacement

Post by AriX »

As mentioned here, my Amiga floppy disk drive seemed to be damaging my disks, so I got a new one. Here are some photos, if anyone is interested!

Here is the drive itself (new one on the left, old one on the right)

Note some other interesting things visible in the above photos:
  • A label that says "Sneak Troy" (I believe this was a Sneak Prevue machine from Troy, NY)
  • A label that says "SL2596" (I believe this is the machine's select code)
  • The power/data decal (a different style than the one on my other Prevue Amiga)
There's a bunch of other interesting details of this unit; happy to share more pics if anyone is interested.
