I've had good luck with Notepad++. Their new version allows for copying and pasting of binary content. Also, the software will show all unprintable characters, like NUL, ACK, etc...

One thing I will mention either using Notepad++ or a hex editor, be careful for unprintable characters. They may not show up on your regular Notepad, but they are very important to the Prevue software.

Thanks,
Steven

So today I got my hardware and my "sender" software back up and running! I put the EPG Jr. and the Amiga side-by-side and ran them from the same data feed, which is pretty cool.

Earlier today, putting it all together: http://prevueguide.com/IMG_1202.jpg
Hardware close-up: http://cl.ly/0P1M1W0a193M2l1M1M1O (bottom to top - Pioneer LD-V8000, Amiga AP2000, EPG Jr. (with Atari 130XE inside), and my old MacBook Pro)
Hardware shot: http://prevueguide.com/IMG_1204.jpg
The end result (with listings from my cable system): http://cl.ly/2Y0X2Z3W2T3v1B340G3D

If anyone's curious, here's my setup:

Data:
- The sender software is running on my VPS
- My MacBook Pro receives the data feed and routes it to a USB-to-serial bridge, which is connected to an SIO2PC unit, which connects to the back of the Atari 130XE
- My old Dell PC receives an identical data feed and routes it to the serial port on the back of the Amiga (with a DB-9 to DB-25 cable and a DB-25 gender changer)

AV:
- My MacBook Pro is running my Prevue Simulator, and I use Apple's DVI-to-composite cable and an RCA-to-BNC connector to route its video to the UV genlock on the Amiga for its top-half video
- I use the Atari's "television" port, plugged into this NTSC-to-RGB unit that tunes to the correct channel (channel 3) and outputs the video over VGA to the other monitor (with another RCA-to-BNC connector)
- The Amiga video outputs to a USB capture card, which is plugged in to the Dell PC, which shows the input on one of the displays (not ideal, but I only have one NTSC-to-RGB thing, plus I don't have enough BNC-to-RCA connectors)
- The LaserDisc player isn't used at all, since this is the Prevue Channel (and we are what's on)
- The Amiga ISA cards for audio switching and data demodulating are not being used at all, sadly - I would love to figure out how

Cool. It is awesome to see the listings for both EPG Jr. and Prevue Channel. On the 1st and 3rd pics I had to tilt my head to the left.

What do you mean by "running the sneak prevue channel"? None of us have the Sneak Prevue software. If I am able to get my hands on it, I will run it.
