Re: Long time guest, first time poster

Was it a local classical music radio station? I remember when our local Prevue Guide's audio would fail or it would crash and it'd revert audio to a local radio station :)

Re: my local cable line-up

In Glens Falls we got the EPG Jr. in 1985 or 1986, then upgraded to Prevue Guide in 1990... kept it through the blue grid from 1993, then Time Warner bought out the cable system up there in 1999, eventually getting the gold grid in March 2000... Glens Falls also had the WeatherStar 4000 until 2008 o...

Re: Sneak Prevue Laserdisc!

So, the generic Sneak Prevue backgrounds/idents would be used on like the local/independent cable companies? That's my guess anyway (with the logo superimposed maybe) :)

Re: Prevue Channel Music

Long time no see, Prevue Guide Forums ;)

Anyone ever seen that channel PrevueChannelMusic on YouTube? Well, I've uploaded one of my favorite songs from the Prevue Channel on YouTube (also used in some Price Chopper radio commercials in New York state, last I remember)...

Re: Curday.dat Data Format

IIRC, Glens Falls didn't get the gold grid until March 2000... maybe one of the last to switch? Albany got it several months before them...

nwgatwcfan: Yea, that makes sense... since 91 + 256 does equal 347, which corresponds to December 13 on common years. :D

I want to try feeding it some Glens Falls listings eventually once this is released... however, I'm not sure on how I'd go about doing it on Windows =/

Re: TV Guide Discontinuing EPG?

TV Guide Channel on Time Warner in Albany still has the EPG, but it's only two lines and it scrolls once at a time; I still miss the old Blue Grid. =(

Re: EPG History Article

The cable company in Glens Falls used the EPG Junior from 1986 to 1990... then they finally got Prevue List with the 1990 relaunch. Around the same time they upgraded the cable system circa August 1986, they added WGN to the channel guide (it was later dropped circa November 1993)... think there cou...
