Ads for other channels...
In a few videos on Youtube of prevue, I occasionally saw some banners for other TV networks. As seen in these videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uL8mL4KFEA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KP5XM7yPXAU I was wondering if those banners were discontinued after they re-branded the name to Prevue Chan...

Re: Just for giggles :) Prevue Guide now emulated!
PD is in the Prevue disk's C directory, not the Workbench's. :) Or you can use the right mouse button, go to the Workbench menu, go to "Execute command", and type run <nil: >nil: df1:c/PD . You won't see any confirmation that it loaded, other than the disk in DF1 actually being read from....

Re: Just for giggles :) Prevue Guide now emulated!
Insert the disk with the UAE GUI - press f12 while in the emulation. It should show up on the workbench like you inserted it. A lot of the files on the disk are powerpacked, run the program PD from the C folder to install a patch that invisibly decompress them for you. Ideally you'd re-compress to ...

Re: Just for giggles :) Prevue Guide now emulated!
Hmm, most of the work requires tarting around with other Amiga programs. In fact I wouldn't know how to easily get the files from the PC to the .adf without loading workbench, sorry! :) Okay I got the Amiga HD & Workbench 3.0 installed from http://classicwb.abime.net/ but I'm unsure as what to ...

Re: Just for giggles :) Prevue Guide now emulated!
I grabbed the logo from swest's videos that he uploaded to megaupload - they are the right resolution and of good quality. I then put them into GIMP and cut out to the right size 320x240 for ENEWS and 640x160 for TVGBANNER and saved as .png Then transferred them over to the emulated Amiga's HD. In ...

Re: Just for giggles :) Prevue Guide now emulated!
The background is a logo - replacing the TV guide entertainment news logo. One thing that is a shame, it doesn't have the smooth fade in/out of the old prevue guide - a great shame! If you try to upload .iff the forum just says "the extension iff is not allowed". If I try to lie and say i...

Re: TV Guide Channel Emulation Working!
What version of WinUAE are you using? The newer ones have options on the Filter page for aspect ratio, where you don't even have to do that, just set it to automatic aspect ratio (where it lets you pick the aspect of your display) and below that, check "Keep aspect ratio" and choose betwe...

Re: TV Guide Channel Emulation Working!
Not sure if anybody still cares but if you want to run it in proper aspect ratio it's fairly easy. In WinUAE under "Host", go to "Filter". Under filter settings choose "Null filter" and "No autoscaling". From there you can set up the verticle & horizontal ...
