Re: Program Guide(Sneak Prevue) Simulator: v.0.79a 7/25/14

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well. I have some good AND bad news regarding the Program Guide Simulator. Let's get the bad news out of the way. Video support using the current PGS is not possible, at least with sound. Quite a bummer! I can get MPEG videos to play, but unfortunately the sou...

Re: No more Saturday Morning Cartoons....Your Thoughts?

Man, I remember when there were cartoons airing on weekdays - early morning(from 5am onwards), afternoons and even during evenings! When I had 1/2 or no days at school, I'd always look forward to whatever cartoons that aired, even if they were old and clearly had to be taken off-air. :) As far as sa...

Re: Program Guide(Sneak Prevue) Simulator: v.0.79a 7/25/14

My app was designed to be easy to install, easy to use and require no dependencies except what came with the package. OTOH, I'd never run that app you linked to. Personally, I would not make users jump through so many hoops for my app, which is why I went with Blitzmax - low-level access to most Win...

Uploaded a fixed version of PGS in the OP. Don't worry as there will be more updates down the line. Thanks for your feedback and praise. :)

Re: Program Guide(Sneak Prevue) Simulator: v.0.78b 12/31/13

Small update. I have fixed the bug where event data wasn't being loaded into the app properly. Events now load at their specified times and dates for the right segments! A new build containing this fix will be uploaded this week. :) I hope you don't mind if I leave a couple of suggestions to make th...

Re: Program Guide(Sneak Prevue) Simulator: v.0.78b 12/31/13

Yeah, it's on hiatus for now. Working on using video/overlays, and I may have finally found the right procedure. So the new version will have support for mpeg videos! :D But I have to learn some low-level Win32 stuff to do it. Doing that while I'm working on paid projects and preparing to move. I ca...

Re: Program Guide(Sneak Prevue) Simulator: v.0.78b 12/31/13

Hello everyone. I just wanted to convey the news that there will be an update coming early-mid February, just to spite Angie since she was right about my last-minute Jan. plans, even though there's absolutely no conceivable way to do so. :P Anyway, if you have any suggestions, questions or comments(...

Re: Program Guide(Sneak Prevue) Simulator RELEASE

Well dreamer (or Craig), you have a very good idea in making the Sneak Prevue simulator on the PC (sorry, I'm using the Mac since I'm on vacation). Thanks! PC is very widely used. Also, it's my development machine of choice(Macs are CRAZY expensive!) By the way, dreamer, if you try to discover more...
