Re: Prevue Channel System Disk
I still haven't gotten the disk image itself to boot, but I was able to execute the software and got a few interesting screenshots. It seems the version of the software here is "Ver 9.0.4 Build 21 JGT". The strings present here must be compressed or obfuscated inside the binary, because I ...

Re: Prevue Channel System Disk
Hi AriX, Followed you here after our chat on Youtube. For extracting the font to TTF, try Typesmith on your amiga emulator. I think the version from AFCD 3 will do it. You can get the CD from EAB file server (see http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43633) directory Magazine Cover Disks and CDs/CD...

Re: Prevue Channel System Disk
Unfortunately since the disk seemed to auto-update itself, I mostly only have TV Guide-related resources. Here are a couple of the things I've been able to extract from the disk so far: http://ariweinstein.com/prevue/TVGBANNR.UV.png The banner that rolled around at the end of the listings cycle. htt...

Prevue Channel System Disk
Thanks to Jeff of amiga.org, I now have an ADF format image of the final Prevue/TV Guide Amiga software. Everything on here is in bizarre formats, but I have succeeded at extracting some of it. This image includes (!) the "PrevueC" font (in the obscure Amiga bitmap font format), which is l...

Re: Prevue Simulator Preview
Oh lol, but anyway now i'm trying to find out what the font was on the blue guide. I've posted on various font id sites so i'm just waiting for responses. I also know somebody who's willing to develop a font for a few buck$, and I'd be willing to pay if nobody can identify it. I'll check back here ...

Re: Familyvue vs. Prevue Family
I've been wondering whats the difference between familyvue and prevue family? Did familyvue's name just change to prevue family in 98 or are they separate programs? I believe when Prevue overhauled their programming in 1998, they renamed FamilyVue to Prevue Family. However, it happened at a differe...

Re: TV Guide Discontinuing EPG?
Here's the article: http://www.mediapost.com/publications/?fa=Articles.showArticle&art_aid=103339 And sorry for being off topic but the people at "whatthefont" aren't the best at identifying everything (at least for me lol). I've made 5 cases there (including the one you commented on)...

lol, it's not my birthday, this forum is stupid, I'm still 15
Anyway, maybe it would be better, I'll take a look and see if I can do a side-by-side comparison.

Re: TV Guide Discontinuing EPG?
I had read that Lionsgate was getting rid of the EPG, but I hadn't heard that they were changing the name. Can you link to this article please? Anyway, it's too bad, I assume someone will develop a replacement at some point, and basic cable providers will have to adopt something else, but this is no...
