Re: Software Hunt
The discovery of the Prevue Guide disk (albeit a late TV Guide one) sure caught my attention when I saw the post about it over at the Sonic Retro forums. =) Awesome, I'm glad my post brought someone over here! Out of curiousity, who are you over there? There are so many members that unless you're s...

Re: Amiga Serial Commands
I decided to start playing around with the Amiga software a bit (Prevue Grid/A2-Blue/TV Guide software/whatever you want to call it), since it's pretty cool, and I kinda want to see if we can get our own listings going to it, even if it involves simply editing the curday.dat file. Unfortunately, it...

Re: TV Guide Channel Emulation Working!
Well, the software does update the cached listings sometimes. I originally ran it too much without the date being set right, and even after setting the date properly, I got no listings, but after restoring to a virgin copy, they magically appeared. I need to find an Amiga tool that will wipe the cl...

Speaking of Prevue/TV Guide in Mexico, check these vids out: Canal de Programación Prevue VTR Cablexpress (Octubre 1998) - Parte 1 Canal de Programación Prevue VTR Cablexpress (Octubre 1998) - Parte 2 y final Talk about weird...A2-Blue styling, but I'm fairly certain that's not Amiga-generated (colo...

Re: Mods
Yeah, I haven't tried booting it back up on my Amiga yet. Still looking for a tool usable on the A500's trapdoor expansion (which is identical to the stock A2000's fast RAM and clock setup) so that I can clear it 100%.

Re: TV Guide Channel Emulation Working!
You may have obliterated the cached listings inadvertantly at some point. Save the local.ads file from the root of the disk, and restore to a virgin copy of the disk as you originally received it, and then try again.

Re: TV Guide Channel Emulation Working!
I have left my Amiga off for about a day now. Given the fact that I've restored from a virgin disk, and only copied over my modified startup-sequence and local.ads , it stands to reason that it's possible for the software to be storing something in battery backed RAM. Does anyone here actually know ...

Re: Hello, World: a couple of CATV questions
As far as running an actual Amiga for the guide goes, a few tips: 1) You'll have to wait until we fully reverse engineer the data format, because despite the fact that the Amiga clock is changed, the software somehow keeps track of what time it is. I left my A2000 running for a few hours, and when I...
