Merry Christmas everyone!

Since noone else had posted it, and since we're a pretty small community, I just wanted to say Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and if you don't celebrate Christmas then Happy Holidays! I hope your holidays are as joyful as mine are turning out to be this year :)

Re: TV Guide Discontinuing EPG?

I wish I could, but I have no camera or tuner card or anything. Also, I do not have cable at home (it is not available where I live). If nothing else, if you know someone with a VCR and cable (or if you're willing to take a VCR to their location), you can record it to a VHS tape (in SP mode please)...

Re: TV Guide Discontinuing EPG?

As much as I hate to say it, guys, I think the end of the noninteractive program guide is almost here, and soon there will unfortunately be no scrolling grids in use, at least in terms of the mainstream. To be honest, I never really had the same kind of "love" for the post-blue grid versio...

Re: PG disk on REAL Amigas.

Very nice, I just saw this thread and was going to check to see if any of your A2000s have 1MB chip RAM, as I'm pretty sure having only 512K caused weird bootup errors and Gurus under WinUAE. I seem to remember I got it to boot under WinUAE with the "genlock" disabled, so I wasn't aware th...

Re: LISTINGS!

For the record, nwgatwcfan's suggestion to check "synchronize clock" under Miscellaneous did not work. It did set the time in the Amiga environment (as verified by typing "date" at the 2> prompt during boot-up), but ESQ itself still thought it was January 1, 1970 at 12:00 AM. On...

Re: LISTINGS!

I'm not sure if ISA cards can talk to each other, but I know for a fact that signals on the ISA bus do not make it to the Zorro II bus unless one has a Bridgeboard and the necessary software installed. Many, if not all, of the ISA "Amiga" cards (TBCs, etc) communicated with the Amiga softw...

Re: UVSG Data Feed Server

Perhaps you wouldn't have to stream it live...one could prefetch the video clips (maybe even optionally using P2P or something to lighten server load) and play them locally rather than streaming.

Re: Gradient.txt

I'm going to assume the hex colors are standard Amiga RGB triplets, so keeping all three digits the same should give you the 16 standard greys.

Re: Curday.dat Data Format

BTW I have a disassembly of the code, but I'm not at all sure it will be of any use as it's machine code not C :( I suggest you post the disassembly publically. The way I see it, yeah, it's a disassembly of C-compiled code, but it still contains the raw "engine" logic (to speak in game te...
