Re: Prevue guide music

Any one else ever have a local FM radio station as fallback in case the Prevue satellite music feed failed? I remember that happening on occasion when the Prevue audio feed would die and a local FM station would take its place temporarily on the Prevue Guide in Glens Falls, NY...

Re: TV Guide Channel Emulation Working!

I believe Ctrl-U was used for stuff like bringing the system down for maintenance, or shutting it down in general. That's the only logical explanation I can think of for that keystroke... Speaking of which, anyone have a full list of ER codes? I know ER007 is probably the most well-known one... and ...

Re: IRC preparation

I've also created a third backup channel on BadnikNET (Tweaker and Xkeeper's network) at irc.badnik.net:6667 #prevue. =)

Re: Emulation for dummies

An ADF image is a disk image of an actual Amiga floppy disk, and is typically either 880KB (DD) or 1760KB (HD).

Re: Emulation for dummies

First of all, you will need WinUAE (for Windows) or E-UAE (for Macintosh or Linux) and Amiga ROMs (please don't post any here or ask for them =P), and the Prevue Guide ADF image. I used an Amiga 500+ configuration as follows: CPU 68000 (68020 might work, haven't tested) FPU disabled (shouldn't make ...

Re: Curday.dat Data Format

I found out that the "006" in CBS006 in the default curday.dat is actually the DMA number, as evidenced here (for example, CBS057 would be Albany-Schenectady, NY and CBS003 is Chicago =P) I didn't think of it until I noticed it in the listings and compared it with the DMA... I wonder what ...

Re: Software Hunt

The discovery of the Prevue Guide disk (albeit a late TV Guide one) sure caught my attention when I saw the post about it over at the Sonic Retro forums. =) Awesome, I'm glad my post brought someone over here! Out of curiousity, who are you over there? There are so many members that unless you're s...

Re: Software Hunt

Anyone know if we'll ever find a Sneak Prevue disk? I'm personally interested in that somewhat, too =P

Re: TV Guide Channel Emulation Working!

For those who are interested, I've posted a video of the Prevue/TV Guide Channel ADF running in WInUAE on YouTube here (alt version in case Sony blocked the video in your country) =D

I probably have the first video of the Prevue Guide running under WinUAE, AFAIK...
