Re: Digital Cable Subscribers: What is your guide?
Charter recently migrated us from SARA over to Passport. Now they just need to get rid of these damn slow 4250HDC boxes and upgrade to something that can actually output the box's UI in HD, like the 8300HDC.

Re: Sneak Prevue Laserdisc!
Regarding the tape-based version, it was likely something that was merely fed on a specific satellite transponder at a specific time and recorded to a worktape (that was guaranteed to be recorded over at least every other feed at least). This tape could be used with a machine that could be triggered...

Re: EPG JR can be emulated on a Playstation Portable
It'd be nice if there were A8 and Amiga emulators for jailbroken iPods but I can't find one.

Re: New simulator ;)
Quick question - do you know if this works on the iPod, by chance? I can't really see why not if it works on the iPad, I was just curious. It'd be cool to see it on the nice iPod touch 4G screen

Re: Sneak Prevue Laserdisc!
Whatever happens, please capture this at full 720x480 resolution without any deinterlacing and make sure it's encoded as interlaced in whatever container you put it in. Most computers made in the last few years can deinterlace video on playback with excellent quality. If you have a DVD recorder then...

Re: OLD youtube videos :)
Good news guys, I did some sleuthing and I think I found the video under a different name. I Google searched for "Cable Reel: Big Budget" and found a bit more of the description, linked to the same deleted video: "Robert Malseed's Cable Reel includes image, promotion and select sponso...

Re: AP2000
Ok, well I'm not a hardware guru so I wasn't sure if I'd traced them properly, but I definitely used the left-hand side of the page I linked to (which matches the number of pins on the card if you don't treat the pins as doublesided). I based that on counting the pins and finding that there were 36 ...

Re: newbie to prevue/tv guide emulation...
Oh hell, I didn't think of that...sort of a chicken and the egg problem. When using unadf, the protection bits are not preserved, and since none of the files are marked as executable, they won't run. Ok, so do almost the very same thing, except put a standard Workbench 2.x ADF in DF0, in step 7 choo...

Re: newbie to prevue/tv guide emulation...
Try this: 1) In the E-UAE configuration, change the device name from Prevue to DH2 (you can leave the volume name as Prevue or make it anything else you want, only thing that's important is the device name). 2) Launch E-UAE and begin the emulation. 3) Immediately after doing so, hold down both left ...

Re: AP2000
In looking at the photo of the bottom genlock output, finding the video slot pinout , and deducing that both pins of that connector won't be ground, it almost looks like that output is using the digital B line (as would almost never be used for output to a CGA monitor, along with R, G, and I). Count...
