Re: TV Guide Channel in Mexico
Maybe it's a later incarnation of http://web.archive.org/web/20070806030832js_/www.prevue.com/prevuechannel.htm Speaking of which, I noticed someone removed the reference to Prevue Junior from wikipedia's article. It got changed to a Prevue Interactive reference. I'm thinking that's incorrect, but d...

Re: TV Guide Channel Emulation Working!
Amiga knowledge needn't be one in the same with general software intuitiveness. Just means I barely remember the hardware. ;) Incredibly mysterious, this phantom clock issue. See, clock RAM, evidently with extra space for stuffing unrelated data. That's something else I had and have no clues about i...

Re: Prevue Trademarks
Just had an idea. Besides trademarks, there are also patents. Like I was saying earlier, companies patent everything they can. So I was thinking, there are surely patents out there describing exactly how their satellite data feed worked -- that could possibly even clarify the VBI vs. audio subcarrie...

Re: TV Guide Channel Emulation Working!
Well, you can help your situation by disabling cycle-exact - this software doesn't seem to use any weird assembly optimization, being coded in C. That part of the whole equation is beyond my Amiga knowledge, so thanks. Done. I also recommend that you set line mode to Normal - the screen will look h...

Re: TV Guide Channel Emulation Working!
Well, I was going to make a video showing off some of this new stuff for YouTube, but I'm having problems getting WinUAE to output anything more than a 5.5KB AVI with nothing in it. I don't want to use anything other than lossless compression, so I tried HuffYUV (well, ffdshow's HuffYUV encoder) an...

Re: TV Guide Channel Emulation Working!
Thanks kindly! Any reason why you included non-virgin copies of curday.dat and nxtday.dat, though? Not that I'm worried you "did anything" to them; just thinking about the possibility of any cached data having been flushed by PG from them if they're from a "used" ADF. No, he's s...

Re: TV Guide Channel Emulation Working!
Sure, I'll try to package them up in the next few minutes. Out of all of those, the only two that should be different from the original image are curday.dat and nxtday.dat - the other PP20 files are just graphics, and the executables are of course never changed in our current situation (after all, ...
