Re: Sneak Prevue Laserdisc!

tin, I think the Satellite feed was only used for the channel listings and pricing information that would appear on screen and the times and channels events would show up. Also, I think the satellite feed sent the timing and commands to pull up certain tracks or timecodes on the LaserDisc. I don't t...

Re: Sneak Prevue Laserdisc!

I did some research on the actual LaserDisc Player they used for Sneak Prevue. There is a website that has a photo of the system in full. If you need it, I'll post a link to it. Anyway, the Model they used was the Pioneer LD-V8000 LaserDisc Player. This model was used in commercial applications and...

Re: Sneak Prevue Laserdisc!

Check my post above as I just finished adding more videos. Can't think of anything else to add as the rest are mostly more pay-per-view ads. I could make a compilation of all of the pay-per-view stuff but don't know if anyone wants to see that. I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the ads that you ma...

Amiga Related Documents that might be helpful

For the past few weeks, I have been trying to pick apart the ESQ file in the Prevue Folder. I was wanting to get a sense of what types of files the system is requesting and using. What I have been able to gather is that some of the files are built directly into RAM using the ESQ file. Anyway, as I w...

Re: AP2000

I'm still following along. It's been crazy busy at work and I have been ou of town the last few weekends.... Could the bottom connector be for a small tv monitor that a cable operator would use without having to unhook the top cables to see what the software was doing or it might be a passthrough. I...

Re: 110 baud bit-banging

I am sure we have that bit sussed to a degree. The demod card sends the 110 data on the RTS pin, in a similar fashion to how it would send the 2400 over the TX pin. Exactly. I've been "banging" my head trying to figure something out. I noticed that you mentioned that the 110-baud commands...

Re: Curday.dat Data Format

What day is today in curday.dat? I tried using 0 and 1, but neither seemed to have worked. Try 00. I think the system will always read two characters for julian date in curday.dat. Check and see if that works. Steven Sorry about that. I'm thinking in terms of HEX. 1 was correct for Jan. 1. Today's ...

Re: Later Version of Prevue and TVGC that scrolls down

Tin, You know, I never noticed it before, but you're right. The background satellite listings do drop extremely fast compared to the cable listings. Considering at that time the A3000/A4000 computers were being used in some instances, I'm wondering if they used the satellite listings as a test of th...
