Prevue Guide Wiki

I need some help. I am trying to place a couple of tables in the Wiki on the pages that I created and just are now getting to edit. The problem is that the tables are not showing up in the correct locations. I trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Also, I am still trying to figure out some mor...

Re: Sneak Prevue Laserdisc!

I'm extremely anxious to see the October/November 1997 LDs. This is the era that I remember best. It's crazy to see a forum devoted to this channel(s). I'd watch Sneak Prevue all the time as a kid (most heavily during 1st grade -- 1997) considering my parents would hate the advertisements for all o...

Re: LISTINGS!

That's very cool! I actually specifically remember one of my sources - the original EPG Jr./Sr./Prevue Guide software guy - mentioning that the six-byte channel mask was one of the things that could be sent in a channel command, but I never knew how to do it. AriX, thank the person that sent the te...

Re: LISTINGS!

I have found a new discovery. Remember in the curday.dat and nxtday.dat that there are a series of 6 Hex FF characters next to each other right before the channel name. At the time, it was found that they controlled the time that a channel was actively displayed in the grid and also advised Off Air ...

Amazing...3 years of being a member of this forum

I know this is off topic, but I just realized that I have been a part of this for three years now. I have learned so much in the course of these three years about Prevue Guide, the Amiga, the Atari 8-bit system, emulators, serial commands, and C#. What I didn't think would be possible a long time ag...

Re: LISTINGS!

I have found some interesting information. When it comes to movie listings, the TV Guide data that was on the disk showed the length of Blair Witch Project as "(1 hr 21 min)". I was viewing a video of the yellow guide from 2000, and I noticed that it showed the length of programs as "...

Re: LISTINGS!

I am currently trying to create a C# program that feeds the raw data through serial to the WinUAE program. So far, I have been able to send the channel lineup of my own choosing and any channel listings that I can manually key. I have also setup the reset command by clicking one button and sending t...

Re: ABC goes off the air for 6 Minutes!

You know... that's funny. Earlier today, my Falcons football game at the end was interrupted and went to the backhaul feed for Fox Broadcasting. It never did resume and went right to the Animation shows this evening.

Must be a satellite glitch. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Re: TV Guide's Prevue '98

From what I remember, it was called "TV Guide Prevue First '98". It was basically a 60 minute fall preview of all new shows that were premiering on all TV/cable networks. Prevue and TV Guide did a promotion back in August, 1998 for the TV Guide Prevue First '98 sweepstakes. I remember loo...

Re: Channels from San Francisco Appear out of nowhere.

Wow... That little antenna that doesn't appear to have an amplifier and it gets stations about 100 miles away. Anyway, does this happen all day or at certain times of the day that the stations come in? Also, is the antenna on a second floor of the home or if your home is near any hills? The height o...
