Just remember to setup and send your channel lineup first, then you can program each listing thereafter.
I realize that it's not the most user-friendly thing, but again as a beginning programmer, I tried to put as much thought into it.

Re: [Download] Sneak Prevue Manual
Arix, Something interesting in the picture descriptions. They have the satellite listed as Galaxy 5 - Transponder 7. If memory serves me correctly, that is WGN. I wonder that if Prevue Networks used WGN as the data feed for Sneak Prevue after Prevue Guide/Channel was moved to Satcom C4 - Transponder...

Re: What COM port does Prevue channel editor use? Need help!
Good afternoon. Sorry for not responding to this question sooner. But 40 hour workweeks and more are killing me lately... I created the Prevue Channel Editor in C#. When I first created it, I did not have a proper COM port on my laptop. So, I went online and found a Virtual Serial Port Emulator. Wha...

Re: New youtube videos
I do remember in our area, the new grid came sometime in late January 1993. Unfortunately, I was a youngster then and didn't think about taping it. But I do remember in a February cable update TV show, they were showing the Prevue Guide with the new grid on a TV set sitting on the desk as they were ...

Re: New youtube videos
I love the video of the Gorilla throwing the bone in the air and it coming down as a remote and then zapping on the Prevue Guide. Absolute classic!! And the movie Zandalee is one of the earliest memories that I have of the original Prevue Guide in my hometown. That first 6 months of Prevue guide bef...

Arix,
Have you had a chance to put the disks in to see what are on each one?

Re: Couple of Questions about Prevue Guide
Receive the lineup from where? The office in tulsa where the satellite feed was uoloaded to a satellite for download? The lineups, control data, and listings were sent digitally over the VBI (vertical blank interval) signal from the satellite feed. The satellite receiver would take the data from th...

Re: Couple of Questions about Prevue Guide
I've read the wikipedia article, but still wondered a few things about prevue guide, the 88-93 version. So, the previews in the top left or top right quarters of the screen were from the satellite feed (based in Tulsa, Ok, right? Basically wherever it first transmits to the satellite for download t...

Re: Some screenshots of the Program that I am working on
Sending the live data is all good, but there are some bugs to deal with. Goodness... Maybe later when the program is fully OK with no more bugs or glitches, then we may insert live data by serial!!!! :D You should be able to send the data through serial COM1 to Win-UAE, using a virtual serial port,...

Re: Some screenshots of the Program that I am working on
Here are the instructions on how to use the software. This will be updated as time goes on, as I figure out more commands to send.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Steven.
