Re: New youtube videos

I don't think this has been posted yet, but here's a TV Guide Channel branding package video, which is fun: https://vimeo.com/55695821

Also, this was posted a long time ago on a different thread, but here's a look at the late '90s Prevue package: https://vimeo.com/20022094

Re: [Download] Sneak Prevue Software

OK, I think I got the vd binary decompressed (I just had to load the PowerPacker 4.0 software on an Amiga and fiddle with it for a minute). Check it out! http://prevueguide.com/Amiga/SneakPrevue-vd-decompressed Lots of interesting strings in the binary! DF1:SearchErr.config ::/::/ %c%s Sneak Prevue ...

Re: [Download] Sneak Prevue Software

Off the bat - I believe the Sneak Prevue binary is the file called "vd". It's probably compressed like ESQ. I don't remember how we decompressed that one (I think perhaps it was PowerPack 4.0-encoded). Would love any help in popping it open! Also, I haven't been able to get the software working yet,...

Copyright 1994) Sneak Prevue Data Disc (Prevue Networks, Inc. Copyright 1994) Sneak Prevue Main System Disc (TV Guide Network...

Re: Interesting Tidbits

Nice update! Believe it or not, I'm currently in Tulsa, OK and visited the building on Thursday, so I have some images to throw into the mix. IMG_4832-small.jpg IMG_6166-small.jpg Here's a close-up of the satellite dish. I believe this dish uplinked the Prevue/TV Guide feed. Presumably it's now unus...

Re: Since when did Pop still have scrolling listings?

Here's another full-screen Pop guide example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quN376aEI5Y&t=3s A wacky thought experiment: It strikes me just how similar the Pop/TV Guide Network grid's functionality is to the Amiga one, down to the channel names (apparently) being limited to 6 characters. And very ...

Re: Prevue in Python

Finally, is there a description which breaks down all of the specific configuration settings which are sent via mode F? I cannot find any reference to this, unless I am looking in the wrong space.. As mentioned in the other thread and on Discord, here is a reference I'm working on: https://github.c...

Swift Project for Prevue Emulation

Hey all, I got my Sneak Prevue Amiga up-and-running recently and it piqued my curiosity to spend more time playing with Prevue stuff. I decided to write some new code to generate a UVSG satellite data feed, and publish it open-source. Over time, it should encapsulate the Atari & Amiga reverse engine...

Amiga Floppy Drive Replacement

As mentioned here , my Amiga floppy disk drive seemed to be damaging my disks, so I got a new one. Here are some photos, if anyone is interested! Here is the drive itself (new one on the left, old one on the right) image0.jpg Here's the new drive in the assembly image0-1.jpg Here it is in the machin...
